Your Coaching Has a Pattern.
You're the Last One to See It.
Every coach has a default pace. It's the place they turn to when the client's readiness is either ahead of them, or behind them. Yours is running right now, whether you've named it or not. Nine scenarios. Five minutes. One pattern you'll recognize the second you see it.
WE HAVE CREATED THIS PACING ARCHETYPES ASSESSMENT
You Already Know Coaching Isn't About Technique
You learned the model, you passed the exam, you've logged the hours. And somewhere in there, a pattern took over that has nothing to do with how much you know. It has everything to do with how you handle the gap between what the client is ready for and what you're ready to offer.
I call that gap outpacing and underpacing. Outpacing is moving faster than the client's readiness: filling silence, handing over insight, running the checklist. Underpacing is holding back past the point it serves anyone: over-attuning, over-doubting, sitting in empathy instead of offering the read you already have.
Neither one is a flaw. Both are a pattern you can't see from inside it. As an ICF Master Certified Coach and MCC Assessor, I've reviewed hundreds of real coaching recordings at ACC, PCC, and MCC level. The pattern shows up in every single one, and it takes someone else naming it before the coach can hear it in their own sessions. I call these patterns Pacing Archetypes: six recognizable ways coaches outpace or underpace their clients, each with its own gift, its own shadow, and its own story the coach tells themselves to explain it.
The Pacing Archetypes Assessment names yours.

The Pacing Archetype Assessment
Nine scenarios. Five minutes. Your archetype, your gift, your shadow, your triggers: the full self-report, free. This is where every coach should start. It's accurate to how you think you show up.
LAB
The Art of Pacing
A self-report can only catch what you're willing to see about yourself. This 6-week lab goes further: you submit a real coaching recording, and we identify your pattern live. Not how you think you pace, but how you actually do, in the room, under real conditions.
Take the assessment first. When you're ready to see your pattern in a real session,
